Rock Concert Essentials

To say I love concerts would be an understatement, but I do love concerts. Especially rock shows. In my 18 years of being alive I've been to a pretty decent amount of gigs, from Justin Timberlake, Kylie and Pussycat Dolls when I was pre-teen to Foo Fighters, Biffy Clyro and Bring Me The Horizon whilst I am a teen.

If you haven't read my Foo Fighters post or follow me on Twitter and Instagram you probably will have no idea that I'm seeing my favourite band again on Saturday at none other than Wembley Stadium!

With my expertise of rock concerts I thought I'd share with you some of the essential things I've learnt that you need for a rock show.

A Band T-shirt

For me, deciding an outfit to a concert is easy because I'll just stick on a band t-shirt. I personally recommend to wear a t-shirt of the band you're going to see because then you can look extra fan girl, like I always do.

Some form of camera

Something you can take pictures and videos on is essential for me to take to a concert. I like to be able to snapchat my experience there so I can remember it in the years to come and I also like to be able to try and take selfies with the band I'm seeing like I tried to here

P.s I don't recommend taking one of these bad boys (see above image) with you as 1) you probably won't be able to take it in anyway and 2) they are so heavy how are you meant to jump around like a maniac with one of them? Stick to your trusty iPhone camera.

Glasses

Probably should have clean them before taking this picture...
To be able to see, obviously. I went through a stupid phase when I was in my mid-teens where I would not wear my glasses in public because I thought I looked too ugly and well, that was just idiotic anyway. I couldn't see any of the band members at all and had to squint to try and see them on the big screens. Now I wear my glasses all the time and I can actually see all the band members and it's a lot better than straining my eyes for three hours.

A Bold Purple Lipstick

Because nothing says punk rock more than having MAC's Violetta on your lips. You can also tell you've had a wicked night when it's smeared all over your face and you don't even care.

What else would you take to a rock concert? Let me know what bands you have seen live!

  1. Good shout, I thought you were older than that by the way! Yeah cba lugging a massive camera like that about. I always take a CD or something by the band, in case I bump into them outside (read: lurk around for ages) !

  2. I was just gonna say, those fancy cameras aren't allowed on concerts! I went to my very first one and saw Ed Sheeran! omg... mind blown! I can't wait to see another concert!
