April Favourites

Today is the 30th of April and I'm pretty shocked at how quick the past four months have gone. I haven't done a favourites post since the early days of JennieWren3 and so I thought I'd do one for this month. However, I'm not going to be doing the traditional favourites post...you know, listing all the beauty products I enjoyed this month? Instead I'm going to tell you about my favourite moments and thoughts of this month (as well as maybe a few products)!

My Dad's Birthday
I really enjoyed my dad's birthday because I think he got a pretty decent day. You can read all about it in this post but put shortly, we went for burgers and then saw Avengers: Age of Ultron (which I highly recommend).

Longer Evenings
I know that the clocks went forward in March but it was very near to the end and so I've spent April really enjoying that it's still light near nine 'o clock. It really gets me excited for going to Leeds Festival too because it doesn't go dark until near ten 'o clock then and that's when the headliners are coming on so it's my favourite time. I really do not want Summer time to ever have to end!

Family and Loved Ones
After finishing work a couple of weeks ago, I've spent the rest of April getting to spend a lot of time with loved ones. Me and Ellis have had lots of sleepovers which we felt we missed out on whilst I was working and I've spent loads of time with my sisters and nieces and nephew which has been a lot of fun, like old times!

Making a "Free" Amazon Purchase
Well it wasn't free but I got a £25 gift card and I really wanted some books so I got around 5/6 books (I'll be doing a haul when they arrive) and I just can't wait for them to arrive.

For some reason, I've suddenly got the urge to read a load of books. I really want to have a large variety of genres I enjoy to read and I used to read a lot when I was younger so I'd love to get into again. I think the internet has taken over for the past few years and I've been too busy with Youtube and Netflix to bother reading anything anymore. I'm really exciting to start getting into Thrillers and Historical Fiction. I already know I enjoy historical fiction but thrillers are a tougher genre to tackle. I get scared pretty easily (I had to stop watching Taken 3 because it was too jumpy) and so I'm not sure how I'm going to enjoy thrillers but I really want to read The Girl On The Train and Gone Girl.

I've gotten more into blogging recently and started spending more time focusing on writing. After all, writing is a huge passion of mine so if I love so much I should really be giving it my all.

What have your April favourites been? I'm really looking forward to May because...Foo Fighters in Manchester, yay!
