Sundays are for...

My Sunday afternoon usually is my most creative time of the week. I struggle to write blogs during the week because I'm out of my house from 7:30am - 6:30pm. My Saturday is usually taken up by visiting relatives, spending time with my boyfriend or shopping so I find myself writing all my posts when I'm back home on the Sunday. I also think a Sunday is a great day to write as it's the end of the week - I can look back on everything that has happened in the past week and reflect on it and I can also look forward to whats yet to come next week.

Listening to Music
I love music but I find I never have time to listen to it anymore. I sometimes listen to it on my way to and from work but I don't have a variety of music on my phone so I find myself listening to the same things. On Sunday I find myself experimenting with new music that I don't usually listen to and see if it works well with me. I discover lots of new songs and artists on a Sunday.

Catching Up with Youtube
A lot of my favourite Youtubers tend to upload new content over the weekend so I love binge watching them. They also inspire me to write my blog too!

I love Netflix and I love getting home from my boyfriend's house on a Sunday to binge watch some of my favourite shows. Some of my favourites on Netflix have to be: Breaking Bad, Suits, Orange is the new Black, 90210, Pretty Little Liars and Gossip Girl.

One of my aims of this year was to read more and frankly I am failing. I can never be bothered during the week as I find myself reading the Metro on the tram and if not I'll be on the Daily Mail app instead. On a Sunday I love to snuggle up with a good book. I'm currently trying to force myself into reading Paper Towns by John Green after seeing the trailer for the upcoming film!

Pampering is my favourite thing to do on a Sunday. I love giving myself a deep cleanse and then getting into a gorgeous smelling bath, with no music or tv to distract me. The only thing I have in my bath is my thoughts - I think the most in there! I also love to put a face mask on now and again and give my hair a good wash using a hair mask too. I'll then paint my nails and toenails and just get myself ready for the week ahead!

You will rarely find me actually dressed in normal clothes on a Sunday. Ironically today I'm actually in normal clothes as I've not bothered to get changed after getting back from my mums house. Usually I'll be straight into some fresh pyjamas and my huge dressing gown and slippers!

A Hot Chocolate
Sunday nights would not be complete without a "proper" hot chocolate - made from actual milk rather than water! My dad makes the best ones in my Frozen mug and I am very much looking forward to having one later.

What are your Sunday rituals?

Lots of Love

  1. Sundays are when I write my blog posts as well. There's nothing I like more on a Sunday than curling up in bed with a good movie, hot chocolate, and those creative juices flowing.
