Tag: Confessions of a Blogger

Okay, I wasn't personally tagged but I saw this post on Yazzyscorner and really wanted to do it myself so I've rebelled and done my own.

When did you start your blog?
I started my blog in June 2013. Back then it was called Jennie's Jottings. I started it when I was bored after my exams but then college got in the way so I barely blogged for the rest of 2013. Then in 2014 I renamed and redesigned my blog and it became JennieWren3.

Have you had any past online presence before (other blog, YouTube)?
Well back in 2010 I was a huge TMB (The Midnight Beast) fan and me and my old friend did our own take on one of their parodies and it got quite a few hits on Youtube. But then we got bullied for it at school so I took it down to save myself.

Why did you start a blog?
I just love to write and I love to talk about my life (not to sound vain) but I like to write all about it so I can look back at it. I've always been the person that tweets a lot, writes a lot of statuses, takes a billion photos at every occasion - just because in years to come I can look back and jog my memory about those occasions.

When did you become serious about starting a blog?
I would say in March (2014) I started to write more, tweeted more about my blog etc, kind of got the jist of it all but then I blogged less due to exams. But since my exams I've been blogging daily most of the time and I love it so much.

What was your first post?
My first post was a Paramore Review of their album. At that point I didn't really know what I wanted to blog about.

What has been your biggest challenge about blogging?
Trying to beat writers block has been a big challenge because sometimes it's just so hard to think of a new post everyday. Also being motivated has definitely been a challenge for me as I'm quite a lazy person it can be a big ask for me to actually do something.

Where do you see your blog in one year?
I see it still being on the internet. I see it looking pretty fancy because I would've paid for a brill designer to do it all fancy. I'm so fancyyyyy you already know... name the song. I also see it having much more interesting content because I would hopefully be on my apprenticeship then and have more money to explore new places.

What is the most rewarding thing to you about blogging?
This sounds so cliche but it's definitely all the lovely people you meet through blogging. I've got chatting to so many lovely girls on blog chats I absolutely love interacting with new people and sharing ideas.

What is the most discouraging thing that happens to you?
Sadly, some of my family and friends don't understand blogging and just see it as I'm basically addicted to the internet, or trying to get famous. They don't realise that I genuinely love to write, love to share my life with others.

What's your lasting inspiration or motivation?
I find that reading other blogs inspire me. I love reading other lifestyle blogs - everyone has such a unique way of writing and I love to hear how other peoples' brains work. I also find my own thoughts are inspiration too - I love to think at the moment about lots of situations and that generally leads to a blog post some how.

Now you know a little bit more about me I want to know more about you! I tag everybody to do this and if you do make sure you tell me! I'd love to give it a read!

Lots of Love
