CURRENT LIFE UPDATE // SPRING 2014

Hi lovelies,
You may have noticed I've had a day or two away from the ol' blog! The last few posts had been scheduled as I have so much to do college-wise as tomorrow I'm off to Wales with my boyfriend and his parents and I need to get my entire Photography project finished before then. I thought I'd write this post just to have a little chat really, as I have a few things to share.
Me and Ellis are off to Wales tomorrow afternoon and although I'm taking my laptop with me, it's unlikely I'm going to be writing any posts whilst I'm there because I really want and need a few days to just relax and spend some quality time with Ellis. I'm unsure right now if there will be any posts scheduled as right now I'm struggling to find the time to even write this!
In other news, tomorrow is the end of my China Glaze Giveaway so enter today to be in with the chance to win two nail lacquers of your choice!
I've also been thinking about setting days to write certain posts because due to my exams being in less than a month(!!!) I'm definitely going to be struggling to put up daily posts and this will also be a way for me to organise my posts in beauty, fashion and life order! I haven't currently decided what days these will be on but hopefully soon I'll have a post up deciding that!

I'm sure you will hear from me soon!

Lots of Love

WEEKLY ROUND UP // APRIL 14 - 20

Hi lovelies,
I've actually had a really good week (shock!). I think it is probably due to it being the Easter holidays and being motivated to actually get out of the house.

Monday me and Ellis got ourselves out of the house and went into my local town. After realising we were skint and there was no need for us to be around shops, we decided to go on a walk to my local country park, Burrs. It was a lovely day, we walked past lots of Rivers, sat on rocks and just strolled through trees. I really do appreciate nature and the calmness around it.

Tuesday, my dad and I met Ellis in town and went to the cinemas to see Captain America (finally!). It was a great film - I love Superhero movies and especially love the actors who play them - pwoarrrr! We then went back to mine and had a curry and Ellis stayed!

The day after, Ellis helped my dad out moving stuff around the house and then he went home. I then spent the afternoon being productive - writing blog posts, doing some work. And then I had to pack because I was staying at my mums for a few days as my dad has gone away.

Thursday I got up so early (o.k 7am) and got to my mums at like 9am. I then got myself ready and walked in to town and got the bus to Ellis'. He cooked me scrambled eggs on bagels and made me a nice cup of tea. We had quite a cute day - a spontaneous one where we just have fun and do nice things together.

On Friday I got to see my nephew, Harry, and my niece, Grace, as they came round to see us before we went to buy Easter eggs. Then I went to Ellis' to help him with his college work and spend some time with him but unfortunately I had a migraine and went to bed at half 6 and then when Ellis came to bed at half 11 I woke up feeling better so we watched Grown Ups 2 in bed.

On Saturday I woke up to Ellis' dog Ruby lying next to me. Me and Ellis got up and went downstairs around noon and Ellis made me a cup of tea, ham sandwiches and crisps - the boy knows me well! We then spent the afternoon watching Breaking Bad and then I went back to my mums house and spent the night with her!

Today is Sunday and I'm currently sat with my sister, my niece and my sister's boyfriend. It's Easter Sunday so Happy Easter! I'm having a big breakfast soon and then I'm going to Ellis' to spend the rest of the day at his!

I'm going to have a life update soon so be sure to check that out!

Lots of Love

LEEDS FESTIVAL SERIES // CHAPTER 2: 2011

Hi lovelies,
If you keep up-to-date with my blog I've started a little series about Leeds Festival, sharing my experiences with you all! You can read Chapter 1 here

2011
The second year I went to Leeds, I went with my mum, her boyfriend Stan and my friend Becks. Again, this year we arrived on the Friday but we went very early in the morning. We got our guest tickets and then headed into the guest bar after putting up our tent. That day me and Becks went to see Enter Shikari (quite drunk) where we met two girls that were very drunk too and equally loved Enter Shikari just like me! That night we saw a little bit of Elbow as we walked around and then we watched Muse headline which was absolutely incredible!

On the Saturday the day started out extremely great as Louis Tomlinson from One Direction (my favourite at the time) walked into the guest area and smiled at us!! I was so shy I didn't even want to ask for a picture so we just assumed he would be back and we could ask then - he wasn't, I was sad. We watched a little bit of The Blackout that afternoon and then I met my mum for a little while and had a few drinks in the guest bar. We finished the night on an incredible note, watching Thirty Seconds to Mars where I nearly passed out, and My Chemical Romance, where I bust my nose in a mosh pit that I created - hardcore since I was 14.

The Sunday was my favourite day. We watched Seasick Steve and Two Door Cinema Club and then spent the rest of the day in the Festival Republic Tent trying to get a good place for The Midnight Beast who were headlining and were my favourite band at the time! We watched them and my happiness was fulfilled. We then went back to the guest bar and had a few vodka and lemonades. I'd been talking to Ashley and Stefan from The Midnight Beast over Twitter quite a lot before Leeds so I knew they were going to be in the guest bar. After going to the toilet me and Becks came out and gave a little bit of scream when I saw them huddled together with Nick from Hadouken! and some others that I recognised! We went over and I was like "Hi, I'm a big fan, can I have a picture, I don't want to stay long because I don't want to freak you out" - that ironically probably freaked them out. After our pictures, Stefan laughed with us and then sat back down with his friends and we kept talking to Ashley and Dru. Whilst I was speaking to Dru, Ashley said to my friend "Is she Liam Gallagher's daughter?" You can probably guess how excited I was by now, one of my favourite celebrities had just asked if I was Liam Gallagher's daughter! We spent from midnight until 3am speaking to Ashley, Jake the piano player and Marc the dancer! Then they got told that it was time to go so me and Becks excitedly went to sleep!

My camera broke that year so I didn't have too many photographs but here are the ones I do have!

Did you go to Leeds 2011? Did you enjoy it? Who did you see?

Lots of Love

FEELING SORRY FOR MYSELF

I'm a due for a good moan? Probably. I am getting absolutely sick to death of being ill all of the time. Being ill can be good at first. 1-2 days in bed, eating plenty of biscuits and drinking a lot of tea, catching up on crap telly or Disney films (finally watched Frozen!) and sleeping. But after those 2 days everything can just become...miserable.

For me, being ill right now means missing college and that means missing out on a lot of work. At my college if you go under 90% attendance you're meant to be put on a contract. I'm on 85% after spending ages trying to get it up to 90% so looks like I'll be on contract when I go back to college...sigh. I became ill last Monday night so I spent Tuesday - Friday off college. I felt a lot better by Friday and so I thought I was capable of going to a wedding on the Saturday. However, during the wedding I had a coughing fit and then on the Sunday I woke up and my voice had completely gone and by the end of Sunday I just couldn't really speak at all. I still got myself ready on Sunday night to get up early this morning for college as I really thought I'd be going back in.
Throughout the night I was just coughing. I woke up at 3am and couldn't actually get back to sleep until 5.30am. I then woke up at half 6 (my usual wake up time) and my dad said "Jen, have another day off, you're really unwell". I'm so annoyed at myself because I am so behind with work and it really stresses me out, especially because I'm doing A levels.

Another thing that is annoying about being ill is I don't get to see my boyfriend. With this sort of illness I can barely speak, I get to hot, annoyed easily etc so it's probably best that Ellis stays away so he doesn't get ill but I miss him and all I want is a hug and some company. Being cooped up in my room all day, not being able to sleep is so lonely and it really affects me. Sigh.

I know there are far more worse illnesses and people in the world are dying and in a much less fortunate state than I am but I am obliged to moan about something that's upsetting me. I am stressed, sad and lonely and I want to be happy again!! :(

Lots of Love
