A Thursday night moan...

I am writing this as I sniffle with a cup of blackcurrant flavoured Lemsip (awful times calls for awful measures). Unfortunately for me I was cursed with a cold from yesterday afternoon and I have spend the day at home (instead of at college), watching telly, eating and doing some work.

I thought I'd share with you some of my 'best friends' whilst I have this cold (non-human).

1) Olbas Oil

Ah, the joy in my eyes as I found a small bottle of this in my drawers before I went to bed. Olbas oil is my saviour when I need to be able to breath during the night. I don't know what it does; I suppose the strong fumes open up your the blockage in your nose so you're able to actually get some kip.

2) Nasel decongestant

I found an Asda's own one of these in my beloved drawer full of wonderful things. It's a bit yucky to think about the fact you're putting up a snotty thing up your nose several times but it's a great way to quickly unblock your nose and it's also pretty fun to use.

3) Vicks Vapour rub

AMAZING. Whether you have a cold or not this is so much fun to use. I rub it on my chest and throat during the day and when I go to sleep and sometimes I put it underneath my nose (I wouldn't try this yourself because it burns and it doesn't say to do this on the package).

4) Soothers

Personally, I eat these for fun, but today I actually noticed that my throat had cleared up a lot after eating half a packet of these. I recommend blackcurrant flavour - de-leeeshous.

5) Blackcurrant Lemsip

Why put yourself through the torture of the awful lemon flavour when you could have blackcurrant? Yum. I just drink this purely because I'm told to. I never notice much difference.

6) Nivea Pearl Shine Lip Balm

My face and body always feels like crap when I'm ill. My lips tend to dry out so I always rich for my lip balm to make me feel a little bit more 'refreshed'. Thank you Nivea.

In other news, I have my mock exams next week so I probably won't be able to get a blogpost up until the 31st/1st - sorry! I have a gut feeling I'm not going to pass because I've spent too much time trying to get my photography portfolio and my english coursework finished that I haven't spent much time on revision - silly  Jen!

Lots of Love
